Ambling Management Company Experiences First Quarter Growth
Student Housing Division Thrives with Addition of Multiple New Clients
Valdosta, GA – April 15, 2011 — Ambling Management Company (AMC) announces first quarter growth with the expansion of its student portfolio. Since the onset of 2011, the property management company has added two significant customers to its growing list of clients nationwide. The new communities are located in Kalamazoo, Michigan and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
“We are winning new business the old fashioned way – with hard work, reputation, and unrivaled industry experience,” remarked Hugh Hodge, senior vice president, Ambling Management Company. “We are committed to our customers - both those that currently exist and those who may be future prospects. Our growth as a company signifies that our ongoing and enormous effort is truly paying off. Owners are choosing Ambling to manage their student assets during a challenging economic time because they believe in our service and our proven expertise.”
At Temple University in Philadelphia, Ambling Management Company was selected by Beech Interplex to operate its prestigious new Beech International Village. This 34,000 SF student community is currently under construction and consists of approximately 172 beds. The mixed-use layout features a courtyard, elevator building with controlled access, bicycle storage, study lounges, and deluxe one and two-bedroom apartment homes. Within each individual unit, student residents will enjoy private bedrooms with high ceilings and large windows, fully-furnished accommodations with complimentary televisions, modern kitchens, and an all-inclusive rent package consisting of cable and Internet.
Similarly, 1324 Lafayette at Western Michigan University is currently under construction. Ambling Management Company was recently awarded management for this strategically-located community once known as West Campus Apartments. New owner, Encore Property Investment, has launched a major renovation to enhance the resident experience through the addition of a new club house equipped with a swimming pool, fitness center, computer lab, video game area and tanning capsules. A portion of the community’s two-bedroom apartments will be receiving interior renovations in time for 2011 to include new flooring, kitchen appliances, counters and lighting package.
The two new contracts of 2011 represent nearly 600 additional beds to the company’s student portfolio. Student Housing Business magazine recently ranked Ambling Management Company eighth on its list of Top Managers of Student Housing.
